Meet Our Team.

Michelle Schimelpfenig, DO, MPH, FAAP
Dr. Michelle Schimelpfenig is a board-certified pediatrician with over 15 years of experience caring for children and supporting families. She is a devoted wife, mother, and daughter, and brings the same compassion and dedication she values in her own family into her medical practice.
Michelle has a deep love for animals, the outdoors, and gardening, and believes strongly in the connection between nature, lifestyle, and lifelong health. These personal passions shape her approach to medicine—one that honors the whole child: body, mind, and environment.
Driven by a desire to offer families more tools for healing and prevention, she is currently a fellow in the Andrew Weil Integrative Medicine Fellowship, expanding her training in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and evidence-based integrative therapies.
Dr. Schimelpfenig finds her greatest joy in walking alongside families, building lasting relationships, and watching children grow into healthy, confident adults. She is passionate about providing thoughtful, personalized care that empowers parents and helps every child thrive.
Ashlyn Jones, RN
Ashlyn is married to her husband, Marcus, and is blessed with two sweet girls, Edalyn and Elsie. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, baking, and making special memories with her family.
Her nursing experience includes inpatient rehab, postpartum, and working as a pediatric triage RN. During her time in postpartum, she discovered how much she loves supporting and educating parents as they care for their babies, which led to her passion for pediatric nursing. She especially enjoys helping children and their parents feel safe, comfortable and cared for.
Ashlyn is very grateful to be a part of Dakota Children’s Clinic!

Dawn Jamon
Dawn is an experienced executive assistant with over eight years of supporting professionals and businesses through efficient, detail-oriented remote work. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Anthropology from Brigham Young University–Hawaii, where she developed a strong foundation in communication, organization, and understanding diverse communities.
Raised in a deeply family-oriented household, Dawn brings a natural warmth and compassion to her role. She has always been surrounded by children—frequently babysitting her many cousins—and genuinely enjoys being part of environments that support families and their growth. This personal connection allows her to approach her work with empathy, patience, and a deep appreciation for the needs of both parents and children.
Outside of work, Dawn has a love for animals and shares her home with six cats and two dogs. She enjoys volunteering in her community and expressing creativity through cosplay, hobbies that reflect both her caring nature and vibrant personality.
